Short Bio

Elvira Cyranka studied education, psychology, and art history at the LMU in Munich. Since 2007, she has been employed at the TUM (2002-17 Media Center, and since 2017, ProLehre | Media and Didactics). She is active in advising and qualifying teachers. Her focus is on teaching didactic basics and didactic and methodological competencies for using digital media and technologies in teaching. This includes innovative teaching scenarios, Open Educational Resources, and media production such as teaching videos and digital illustrations. It also teaches the basics and techniques for visually supporting teaching-learning processes with analog and digital media such as notepads, flipcharts, pinboards, whiteboards, and tablet PCs. She coordinates the university didactic activities at the TUM School of Medicine and Health and the central institutions. She is also the TUM contact person for the Virtual University of Bavaria (vhb).

• Further qualification of teachers through face-to-face and online courses as well as through individual didactic consulting and teaching feedback

• Support of teaching and promotion of the teaching culture in the faculties; recording of subject-specific needs of the lecturers as well as conception and implementation of corresponding measures in higher education didactics
• Graphic recording (live visualization at events), creation of visualizations (digital, print, video)
• Contact person for the subject area of media didactics
• TUM Contact person for teachers who want to create or use courses of the vhb (Virtual University of Bavaria)
