Short Bio

Ben Lenk-Ostendorf studied psychology at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Munich. During his studies, he developed software projects on the topic of mental health prevention in cooperation with students at TUM. The conclusion of his studies was the evaluation of a specially developed smartphone app to increase life satisfaction. From 2018, he worked as Head of Research Development at MEDISinn, a B2B mental health services company specialized in mental health prevention. In 2019, he won the Sandoz Challenge of the hackathon "Techfest". He started his external PhD in 2020 at Bonn Rhein Sieg University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with Ruhr University Bochum.

His research combines the topics of climate protection and gamification. In addition to his research, he also pursues these topics in an advisory capacity in projects such as Berlin 2030 climate neutral or Climate Time Machine. Since 2022 he is employed at ProLehre | Medien und Didaktik and represents the topic Gamification.
