How to Join

The AI Guides Program offers two options for participation, tailored to the needs of students and lecturers. Whether through our Program Track or the flexible Free Track, AI Guides help bring AI-driven solutions to the classroom.

For Lecturers

This option is ideal for lecturers who need funding for an AI Guide.

Key Steps:

January: Applications are open until February 7th at 1:00 PM (first-come, first-served) or until filled. Lecturers submit a short proposal outlining their goals for the AI Guide, for example, generating teaching material or AI-proofing an exam.
February: Lecturers recruit - independently or from our recruiting pool - and hire a talented student to get trained as an AI Guide.
March: AI Guide begins a self-paced learning course and receives live training.
April: The AI Guide officially starts working for the lecturer.
Ongoing: Monthly check-ins and access to additional training resources.
End of Program: A one-page report, signed by the lecturer, summarizes the completed project.

Funding Details:

6-month student contract (up to 8 hours/week).
Full training provided for AI Guides.
Ongoing support for AI Guides

Application:

Apply here until February 7th at 1:00 PM or until all positions are filled.

This option supports training and support of AI Guides without funding.

Key Steps:

From March On: Students complete the self-paced learning course (available year-round).
Optional: Lecturers apply for a spot in the live training for their own AI Guide (two dates available per semester, first-come, first-served) for a €40 fee.
Flexible Start: Work begins as per the lecturer's needs.
Ongoing: Monthly check-ins and access to additional training resources.
Optional: Lecturers share their results and get published by the AI Guide Academy.

For Students

Become a trained AI Guide and work directly with lecturers to solve real educational challenges. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills in AI tools, course design, and collaboration.

Apply for a funded AI Guide position with a lecturer starting January 7th at 1:00 PM.
Submit a short application explaining your goals and ideas for this position.
If selected, you'll receive:
- Paid employment (up to 8 hours/week for 6 months).
- Comprehensive training (self-paced and live).
- Ongoing mentorship and resources.
At the end of the program, submit a brief report on your work.

Submit your application to our hiring pool, which will be shared with interested instructors. You’ll receive feedback till the first of February.

If you already work with a lecturer, ask for time to complete our self-paced course. If you want, your lecturer can apply for a live training (40 € fee). Our social events are open to everyone, who has completed our online training.
