Short Bio

Denis Sedlmeier studied Science Education with the subjects Mathematics and Chemistry (M. Ed.) at the Technical University of Munich. Alongside his studies, he worked as a lecturer in chemistry at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences. Through his many years as a basketball coach in competitive sports, he has a lot of experience and skills in team leadership. Since September 2020, Denis Sedlmeier has been supporting the ProLehre team as a research assistant and contact person for topics such as laboratory didactics, hybrid teaching, AI in teaching, cross-location teaching concepts, presentation and storytelling.

Responsibilites

  • Supporting the professional development of teachers through classroom and online courses as well as through providing individual didactic advice and teaching feedback.
  • Providing advice and support to teachers in the development of laboratory didactic concepts and courses.
  • Supporting teaching and promotion teaching culture in the faculties; identifying subject-specific needs of the teachers as well as designing and implementing appropriate didactic measures.
