Short Bio
After her studies of pedagogy and technology education at the University of Stuttgart, Amélie Prebeck worked as a teaching associate for six years at the universities of Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. At the same time, she trained and qualified as a systemic consultant. She has worked as a freelance advisor for higher education pedagogy and developed various subject-based and interdisciplinary offers since 2010. Amelie joined ProLehre | Media and Didactics in 2015, where she now is a member of the competence teams “Concepts of Teaching and Learning“ and “Advising and Counselling“. She is also an expert for Didactics in Engineering and was department liaison for the faculties of Architecture, Civil Engineering, GeoSciences, and Building and Environmental Engineering. She has headed the Course Program Team since 2020.
Responsibilities
- Conception, organization, evaluation and development of the ‘Higher Education Pedagogy’ course program and certificate; Head of the Course Program team, head of the "Onboarding for new teachers" project
- Provision of advanced training for lecturers through workshops and online-seminars as well as one-to-one advising and teaching observations
- Advising lecturers in developing and implementing teaching strategies and courses
- Promoting a culture of teaching excellence in all TUM faculties; determining subject-specific needs of lecturers; design and implementation of courses in higher education pedagogy
