AI Guide Academy
AI is transforming education, and the AI Guide Academy is here to help you make the most of it. We offer training for students and professors to effectively use AI in teaching and learning. Through our online course and hands-on workshop, you can gain practical skills, earn certifications, and explore innovative ways to integrate AI into your daily life. Whether you’re a student looking to gain expertise or a professor seeking AI support for your courses, the AI Guide Academy is your place to start your AI journey.
An AI Guide is a student teaching assistant (Tutor) with special training in using AI in educational settings.
Any TUM student can participate in the training, whether employed as a Tutor or not. Instructors may also complete the online course.
AI Guides gain expertise in using AI for education, earn certificates to enhance their CVs, and may work with professors on innovative teaching projects.
Students FAQ
The training consists of two parts:
- A self-paced, online course (free for TUM students and faculty), which awards the Robin certificate upon completion. Expected time commitment: ~24 hours.
- A limited-capacity, in-person workshop (40€, offered twice per semester), which awards the Parrot certificate and provides advanced training.
No prior AI knowledge is required. The training is designed for students and faculty of all backgrounds.
AI Guides assist professors with projects like designing AI-supported learning activities, helping students use AI tools effectively, and supporting courses with AI-based assessments.
Submit your application here. TUM professors interested in hiring an AI Guide will be given access to your application. Applications are stored for six months, and you are welcome to reapply each semester.
