Short Bio

Dr. Susanne Unger studied psychology and gender studies at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor (B.A.) and linguistic anthropology at the University of Toronto (M.A.) and at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor (Ph.D.). Throughout her graduate studies, she taught courses in anthropology, gender studies, linguistics, German as a foreign language, and film studies. After completing her dissertation, she taught at various universities and small liberal arts colleges in the United States, including the University of Michigan; the College of William and Mary; Duke University; Kenyon College; and American University in Washington, D.C. She works as a language editor and translator of scholarly texts and as a podcast author and producer, focusing on environmental topics. She moved to Munich in 2020 and joined ProLehre in December 2021.
